Autour de lat. micāre / dīmicāre - La théorie des matrices métaphoriques au service de l’anthropologie et de la reconstruction sémantique
Abstract
In this paper we study the verbs micare ‘‘scintillate’’ and dımicare ‘‘fight’’ drawing the hypothesis of a possible semantic connection between them due to their formal comparability. Our analysis is based on metaphorical structures theory : we address the issue of a metaphorical and poetical structure that would combine the light (of spears) with the fight, in Latin and other languages.
